This study examines the ways in which trust-building, emotional regulation, and tailored strategies can increase insurance uptake. Using both theoretical and empirical analysis, it looks at how Gen Z's insurance mindset and emotional intelligence (EI) match up. Trust and awareness are increased by EI-focused tactics like sympathetic communication and customised financial responses. Insurers can boost adoption and promote sustained engagement by attending to Gen Z's emotional needs and digital preferences.</p> Anushka Sarkar, Dhiksha A, Neil Mathews Koshy, Shaeril Michael Almedia Copyright (c) 2025 Anushka Sarkar, Dhiksha A, Neil Mathews Koshy, Shaeril Michael Almedia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/227 Fri, 28 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0530 Understanding Cultural Confusion in the Age of Globalization https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/226 <p>In an increasingly interconnected global landscape, cultural disorientation has surfaced as a significant phenomenon, particularly within societies undergoing substantial transformations in cultural norms, values, and practices. It was believed that the private sector in the economy either did not have the resources or the capacity and will to take on the big development projects needed to initiate development in a stagnant economy in the 1950s. However, by the late 1980s it was realized that the policies were not working and like many other countries India too switched gears from a Planned economic model to a one based on the primacy of the Markets and the private sector. The government, since the 8th Five Year Plan to the 12th Five Year Plan moved from a heavy-handed economic planning to an <em>Indicative Planning</em>. The centrality of the growth process is now well established in the development literature and the policy circles. Economic growth is now considered to be the primary driver of the development process with the state playing a redefined in the economy since the 1990s. The current development strategy combines a fine balance between the state and the market.</p> Sunita Singh, Manish Kumar Copyright (c) 2025 Sunita Singh, Manish Kumar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/228 Fri, 28 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0530 NEP 2020-Youth Employabilities and Vulnerabilities https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/229 <p>In the development of a country education, employment, growth play pivotal roles. While national growth, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Gross Value Added (GVA) have shown noticeable progress, the rise in employment has been stagnated, leading to a condition of jobless growth. Such growth is not equitable and sustainable in long run. Therefore the primary goal for the government should be to generate employment opportunities by building a skilled workforce. This can only achieve through a sound and effective education policy that goes beyond conventional learning method. It is expected that NEP 2020 will take the responsibilities of realizing this visionary goal. This paper will focus on the condition of unemployment in India and how unemployment condition in India have evolved over time. It will also explore the policy paradigm in the education sector in pre NEP 2020 and assess their effectiveness in achieving long-standing goals. Additionally, it will analyze the factors that set NEP 2020 apart from previous policies and unveil the effectiveness and policy constraint of the new policy.</p> Siddhartha Protim Dutta, Bidisha Bhattacharya Copyright (c) 2025 Siddhartha Protim Dutta, Bidisha Bhattacharya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/229 Fri, 28 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0530 Climate Change and Economic Growth in Nigeria: Moderating Effect of Tax Reform https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/230 <p>Climate change presents significant challenges to Nigeria's economic growth, primarily through temperature anomalies, rainfall variability and deforestation. This study examines how tax reforms can moderate these environmental impacts, ensuring economic stability and sustainability. Using multiple regression and heteroskedasticity-robust regression models, the study analyzes the relationship between climate change indicators and GDP growth. Findings reveal that rainfall variability negatively affects economic performance, while temperature anomalies and deforestation exhibit mixed effects. Tax reforms as an interacting variable moderating role, influencing how environmental factors impact economic outcomes. Interaction analyses indicate that well-structured tax policies can either amplify or mitigate environmental risks, reinforcing the need for balanced fiscal approaches. The study underscores the importance of adaptive climate policies, sustainable tax frameworks and economic diversification to enhance resilience against climate change. Informing policymakers on optimizing tax structures for sustainable development, the research contributes to the ongoing discourse on balancing economic growth and environmental responsibility. The findings also offer valuable insights for businesses and investors navigating Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape in response to climate change challenges.</p> Ibrahim Hussaini, Mohammed Bukar Maina, Aminu Shehu Copyright (c) 2025 Ibrahim Hussaini, Mohammed Bukar Maina, Aminu Shehu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ssjar.singhpublication.com/index.php/ojs/article/view/230 Fri, 28 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0530
